Will these legends earn another Olympic Spot?

Olympic Track and Field Trials is just around the corner, scheduled to be held from June 18-27. There is lot of anticipation around the following four runners. The question on everyone’s mind is if they will make it to the Olympic team this time. ​

Jenny Simpson

Simpson, 34, will be trying for her fourth Olympic spot. She was the 2011 world champion and the 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, and won silver at the 2013 and 2017 Worlds.​

Matthew Centrowitz​

Centrowitz, 31, is the reigning Olympic champion at 1500 meters, and a two-time outdoor Worlds medalist in the event. He’s known for his exemplary tactics and for always being at the right place at the right time.​

Lopez Lomong​

Lomong, 36, earned his third Olympic spot on the first night of the Trials, in the men’s 10,000. He won the U.S. 10,000 title in 2019, and then set his personal best of 27:04 while standing seventh at that year’s world championships.​

Kim Conley

Conley, 35, too has an impressive CV with titles at 10,000 meters and the half marathon, and two Olympic berths.​
