In Jan this year my mother saw me complete the SCMM full marathon and decided there and then that she was going to give the Half Marathon a shot. After the usual rounds of self doubts, the 'I had said it in half-jest', 'Am I really sure I want to get into this?' phases, she began practicing in earnest in March. She's enrolled for the SCMM 2010 in the Senior Super Veterans' Category (or whatever its called for those 60 years and above). She does 8kms 4 days a week and had reached 17kms. She is quite confident of completing the half marathon. She's not so sure about the timing though. Do they give those who are aged 60 years and above any concessions for the time?

Ifv there is, she would want to enroll for the ADHM; else, tough luck.

At SCMM there was only 1 woman in the Senior Super Veterans' Category who completed the race, and she wasn't from India. This year there will be at least two.
