Thousands of runners paid tribute to the departed before and during the 24th annual Surf City Marathon & Half Marathon in Huntington Beach on Sunday, Feb2 2020. About 2,200 runners participated in the marathon, 12,000 in the half marathon and 3,000 in the 5K.
The event organiser, Dan Cruz said earlier in the week that “Everyone is a little numb, but the show must go on,” and that “We’re making sure we are honouring those we lost.”
