USATF declares a double-section final for the Women’s 10,000m run at the Olympic Trials

After a month, the 10,000 meters trial for women’s Olympics will begin.

Nearly 50 women have already given their Olympic trials and more are expected in the near future. The entries are open until June 13. Sportspersons have extra chances to run quicker than the Olympic Trials in Portland, Oregon, and at the NCAA Outdoor Championships that will start from June 10 in Eugene, Oregon. USATF stated, “The USATF Women’s T&F Committee has decided that due to the extraordinary number of women who are qualified for the women’s 10,000 at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials, and are likely to enter and compete, a 2-section final will be held. USATF Rule 166.2 will govern the setup for these two races.
