While 2020 proved to be a boring year to many, Siddesha Hanumanthappa has finished a hundred marathons between January 19 and December 18. Each of these marathons was distanced 42.2km. Besides, he also participates in half marathons and 10k runs. The enthusiastic runner was ex-defense personnel and received his retirement as a project director in the research and development department.

Siddesha likes to call himself ‘street runner’ who warms up during the odd hours between 2.30 am and 4:00 am. And post that he takes on the streets. He explains, “I enjoy running in the wee hours as there is no traffic. With no one running alongside, I can keep my own pace. I focus on the distance and not time.”
