Tura, Meghalaya: The District Sports Office united with the District Administration and District Water and Sanitation Mission, West Garo Hills to organize a 10Km mini-marathon.
The 10km mini marathon was held on 29th of March, Monday. The marathon started from Matchakolgre and retreated at the Ballonggre fields, Tura.
The event was concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the winners. Witnar A Sangma, Bethnar A Sangma, and Saljagring K Marak bagged the first, second and third prizes in the male category. Smile Orchid M Momin, Parbina Ch Marak, and Nangkhiewsuki Slong bagged the first, second and third prizes in the female category.
Other male and female participants were given the consolation prizes as well. An award of honor was handed out to the youngest runner- Jeff Athamba K Marak.
The runners were appreciated for their vigor and sportsmanship that helped in the mega success of this event.
