Ladakh’s SPO secures a fourth place in Dhaka Marathon​

India’s Jigmet Dolma stood fourth in the Dhaka Marathon 2021, which took place on 10 Jan. She works as an SPO for Ladakh Police. ​

The event was held to celebrate the arrival of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from Pakistan jail to Bangladesh around 49 years ago. Two other female runners from the country and a total of 8 athletes ran in the marathon. When it comes to the full marathon in men’s category, India’s Bahadur Singh beat all the SAARC and local runners. Nepal’s Pushpa Bhandari won in the women’s category.​

However, Morocco’s Hicham Lakohi stood first in the competition in the men’s category while Kenya’s Angela Jim Asunde accomplished the women’s category.​
