Hawke’s Bay Marathon witness the biggest gathering in its history​

Over eight thousand contenders set out for the fifth version of the Hawke’s Bay Marathon last weekend- the biggest in the marathon’s history. Runners from across New Zealand crowded at the sold-out event, acing the marathon, half-marathon and the 10k run.​

Hawke’s Bay Marathon organiser, IRONMAN Group Oceania managing director Dave Beeche said, “It’s incredible to see so many runners and their supporters being part of this great event in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay.” Wellington runner Daniel Jones reached the finish line at the earliest in the New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty Marathon. The 30-year-old triumphed the men’s category in just 02:25:34.
