Enroute! Guinness World Record: Army Soldier starts Kashmir to Kanyakumari Ultra Marathon

Naik N.A. Velu P, an Indian Army soldier and Ultra marathon runner, is all set to get in the Guinness Book of World Records. He has started an Ultra marathon from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

Naik Velu was feted copiously by Brigadier KJ Singh, Commandant and the all ranks at 166 Military Hospital at Jammu. Naik was given a green signal to commence his journey to Samba and onwards.

Naik’s plan is to run 70-100 KMs each day and cover the prodigious distance of 4300 KMs from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, in less than 50 days.

The gnomes to be brought out through this marathon are “Clean India-Green India” and “Fit India”. This marathon has been organized to inspire the youth to stay fit and care for the country’s green and clean environment.

Naik Velu has been a proud winner of many Ultra marathons, Tuffman runs and Stadium runs all over India.
