Boston Marathon to set a participation limit of 20,000 amid Covid-19​

The organizers of Boston Marathon have set the participation limit of 20,000 runners keeping the pandemic situation under consideration. The announcement was made on 15 March. This cap is 33% of the standard participation level that one of the world’s most popular running events receives. Boston Marathon, since its inception, had been held every year in April. But the chain was broken was last year when the event was canceled due to Covid-19. ​
