ASICS recently announced a face mask exclusively designed for runners, with additional features like a heavy-duty necktie and extra-large space for the mouth’s front area. Unlike the overtly thick masks, the special design of this mask aims to reduce the spread of exhaled particles with increased oxygen demand.
The ASICS Runners Face Cover is a lighter version of N95 to minimize the escape of spit particulates. The mesh panel in the lower part of the ASICS Runners Face Cover enables smoother airflow without creating holes or vents in the obvious places, which might release the bits of saliva.
All in all, the mask seems more comfortable as it prevents the increased release of particles by the runner.
