A 27-year old Runs the Fastest Half Marathon Barefoot on Ice

Barefoot running is not a new practice in the world of running. But, running barefoot on snow is! In the first month of January, Norwegian YouTuber Jonas Felde Sevaldrud smashed the world record for running a half marathon barefoot on snow in just 1:44:58. A few months later, at the beginning of March, a Spanish runner Karim El Hayani living in Bromont, Quebec, surpassed the same record with a timing of 1:36:45.

He has been running for more than a decade. As a matter of fact, when he wore running shoes for the first time, he experienced a sense of discomfort and later he felt better running barefoot.
