When I run, specially during winter, I develop pain in my chest nipples. If I continue, it sometimes becomes a wound also (perhaps due to jerks or due to friction with T-shirt). I have to discontinue for 1/2 days. Please advise how can I tackle with this

I am a regular runner 40 years male. I have done 21k twice in about 2 hours. My height is 173cm and weight is 74 Kg. This problem is not of everyday. But it affects my training program. Please advise.

Hi Rakesh,

Yours is a very common problem among male runners. There are few very simple things you need to do.

1. Dri-fit t-shirts need to be worn. (stop wearing normal cotton t-shirts while running)
2. Put 'micro-pore tape' on your nipples (not band-aid) before a run. These are easily available at chemist-shops. Even applying 'vaseline' is a great idea.

It'll never bother you again.

Keep miling and smiling.
