Training Query

Hi,
I am 23, 5'8", 75 Kg. I am starting off with 7 KM this year as I have never participated in a marathon before. I run 10 KM daily on treadmill (take about 50 to 55 min). Planning to raise it to 15 KM after 15 October. Wish to know if this is enough or should I run on hard surface. I have ran 5 KM hard surface races before (25 - 25 min). Please suggest.

Hi,

There is no right or wrong in a case like this. If you do 10 km every day, 21 is doable, and you can increase your distance to 15 km by 15th Oct. Would that mean you'll do an amazing time at Delhi half, not necessarily. You need to work on a solid 4-6 months for that.

Cheers.

Rajat
